Cranhope Airport recently announced some exciting news. Their 1984 standby runway will now be used on a full-time basis, opening up several opportunities not only for the locals but the entirety of Yorkshire. With more than two hundred construction-based jobs being offered, the employment rate in the area will increase with a set percentage of these jobs being offered to locals. In addition, local areas such as Sherriff Norton will hugely be benefitted economically, as it's estimated for more than one hundred and fifty extra international flights could land at Cranhope Airport.
Don't let the age of the standby runway put you off. It has been confirmed that the standby runway and the main runway both had regular inspections. This is to make sure that every customer and passenger is guaranteed a safe but steady journey, safety is Cranhope Airport's top priority. They always aim to go above and beyond when it comes to their safety measures and stay up to the international requirements.
To help with the new influx of people coming into the area. The current single-storey car park at the airport will be converted into a multi-storey car park to help with potential traffic and cars that stay over many days.
A period of twelve weeks is open to the public for them to state their opinion about the whole plan. When the twelve weeks are over, the opinions are taken in, they will be put into consideration and any changes to the plan will be made if necessary.
